I have gotten to know Hans during his regular trips to Minnesota and the now traditional August grill plausch. Good food, good beer, the obligatory cigar and most importantly, good people. In many ways, Hans reminds me of my own father - who coincidentally also lives across the Atlantic - and I do hope that the two of them can meet each other someday.
Hans, you can certainly be proud of your many life accomplishments but most important of all, you can be proud of the family you have raised. Admittedly, I have never met Sarah but from what I know about her, she seems like a great person and I hope that I can get to meet her someday. Meanwhile, I am most lucky to count Christoph and Jen among my close friends and most honored to call Christoph my Sensei as well.
Here is to many more beers and cigars shared over good food.
